Really depends on the engine health. If you poke around this and other forums, users have supercharged at 100-200k+ miles. It will add more wear and tear, specially if you drive it hard ;).

So which is better URD or TRD SC kit?
Down the road I plan on putting new rods, forged pistons, heads, etc on the tacoma before I slap on a TRD or URD SC kit. I have heard some really good things about the TRD SC kit.
OP as far as you slapping on a SC kit on the tacoma I would upgrade some parts.

wouldnt bother with that stuff unless its an older motor IMO. the stock rods on most all yotas as strong as shit. Forged pistons are REALLY necessary unless you plan on passin 10 psi or more.

Hell on my 7mgte in my supra i have stock rods and forged pistons and ill be pushing 18-20 psi outa a 67mm turbo.

Now when i go to SC. Ill prolly do a rebuild. But i think ill just use stock OE parts and re bore the motor to get fresh metal exposed. Thats all id change tho. Head work very well could benefit it tho too.

x2 I thought 7th injector meant you need more fuel?

7th injector kit comes with a new fuel pump.

    Taken from here: http://www.speedysgarage.net/sportr.../projectsportrunner_trd_supercharger_blog.htm

    1. TRD's 7th injector kit
    PROS:
    - adds ~30RWHP to the Supercharged 3.4L motor
    - maintains any factory warranties that might remain on the vehicle
    CONS:
    - not user programmable
    - can run rich at lower RPMs and lean at higher RPMs
    - very expensive
    - does not include any fuel pump, spark plugs, or thermostat upgrades

    2. URD's Fuel Upgrade Kit

    PROS:
    - adds ~30RWHP to the Supercharged 3.4L motor
    - this is a complete kit and includes an upgraded fuel pump, cooler spark plugs, injectors, cooler thermostat, and piggyback ECU
    - user programmable options for timing and fueling
    - less expensive and a better value for the money than TRD's 7th injector kit
    - allows for installation of a smaller Supercharger pulley for more horse power
    CONS:
    - will affect any remaining factory warranty
    - tuning can be time consuming

    3. URD's 7th Injector Kit
    PROS:
    - adds ~30RWHP to the Supercharged 3.4L motor
    - this is a complete kit and includes an upgraded fuel pump, cooler spark plugs, 7th injector, fuel line with t-fitting preassembled, cooler thermostat, and piggyback ECU
    - user programmable for timing and fueling
    - less expensive than TRD's 7th injector or URD's Fuel Upgrade Kit
    - easier to program than URD's Fuel Upgrade Kit
    - easier to install than URD's Fuel Upgrade Kit
    - provides some intercooling effect
    CONS:
    - I can't find any

So what's the final word? The Trd sc makes more low end power where the urd sc males
    More top end power?

URD is still developing their kit, as far as I knew. So it's speculation at this point, we'll have to wait and see what Gadget does with the rotrex.
