So I installed the TRD Exhaust and seriously considering the supercharger. Just purchased a new 2013 TRD sport and want more low end power. I am not too heavy on the peddle but want a bit more kick. I have another car but this is more my daily driver.

    1. Will I see and increase on the low end or only when I really hit the peddle?
    2. I have been told its relatively quiet unless I really get on it. (want to keep my neighbors happy and the supercharger somewhat on the down low)
    3. should I put so many miles on the truck before moving forward with the install.

Ill be having toyota install it so I dont void my warranty.

I can't answer 1st hand on some of the questions you've asked but have you thought about re-gearing?

I have not. I am thinking the extra HP will give me that kick I am looking for.

The extra HP will be nice! I think the TRD S/C will put you around 305 HP if I'm not mistaken!

I believe that, along with the impressive power increase, comes a similarly impressive DECREASE in mpg...

I only really lost 1.5- 2 MPG after the super charger install.. I still get about 19 or 20MPG in the summer with non-ethanol premium.

I thought you had to run premium gas with the SC?

    1. Will I see and increase on the low end or only when I really hit the peddle? Definitely will.
    2. I have been told its relatively quiet unless I really get on it. (want to keep my neighbors happy and the supercharger somewhat on the down low) It makes very little whine under light throttle. Under hard acceleration you will definitely hear it.
    3. should I put so many miles on the truck before moving forward with the install. Not sure about this. I installed mine at 30,000 miles. Didn't wait for any particular reason aside from having the $$$ to do it.

You don't have to.. It is recommended though.. The ECM will detune the engine if you need to run regular.. I run premium always, even though the closest station offering it is 20 or so miles away from home..

Toyota required me to put on about 1000 miles before installing the charger..

Barely noticed a drop in MPG unless I'm really on it and constantly on it.

And with all those ponies just waiting to be let loose, how can you resist? I couldn't...

Which will make it run like crap and kill your power.

Run 91 octane or higher when you have a SC. Small investment to make sure you don't go tick tick boom.

I sure can. It's one of those nice to have when you want to play kind of things that sits quietly in the background.

If you have the TRD exhaust, you won't be able to hear it unless you get on it. I have the stock exhaust and most people cannot hear it unless I get on it a little bit. Getting on the highway is the only time I really hear it when I drive it normally. I put 10k miles on it before I had it installed. I have 23k and haven't had a single problem.

How about inside the passenger compartment? I already hear the exhaust which is definitely louder.
