    If i hate it from the get go, no mods will make me love it. I either need to like it, or at least tolerate it well, then i can inprove upon whats there.

    Forgot to post these for you @Rock Lobster . You must have an older Volant because mine has gasket connections to the air box and plenty of room for the hood struts I installed to go down :notsure:

    Volant comes with the Donaldson filter, which is hard to beat.

    Plus your truck is a 2010 which doesn't have the emissions "blower" on it right? They had to redesign the Volant for that and it looks like they made a lot of changes.

    What about the belt? If it gets muddy will the mud just fly off or?

    What @RockLobster said. Mine has been soaked and muddied more times than I can count. I'd be more worried about the electronics than a roots type blower that's sealed up nice and tight.

    Your ABS sensors are on the spindle and most of the wiring is on the frame, but the only real points of failure that I know of to be concerned about is the computer module by the battery and the fuse panel which may short when full of crud. Basically they will be fine offroad, but if you get a snorkel you'll want to start considering more waterproofing before going into anything more than a foot or so deep. If you end up 2 or 3 feet deep odds are you'll have cab flooding which could cause the ECU to short or other issues.

    The biggest risk offroad is people who don't have the rear differential breather relocated and enter axle deep water. That can cause water to get into the differential.

    I've found "people" on the internet running the 2.85 pulley with the stock fuel pump. Why upgrade? And before you flame me, can you produce evidence that the stock one won't produce the required volumes? Data rules.
