Just changed the gear oil in my new to me truck, the front diff was blacker than black. Rear and t case looked like new amber fluid. Im on a “fluid” budget rn for new gear oil since some other truck parts got the best of the wallet lol. How does the supertech gear oil do? I am usually a Valvoline guy and this is the 1st time i went with something other than Valvoline or mobil 1. Thoughts or reviews on supertech gear oils?

I’m running the “synthetic blend” in my diffs and transfer case. I noticed no difference from the original factory fluid.

I've been using Super Tech gear oil since it was introduced. Lots of miles - no issues. You do not need to spend $$$ on boutique lubricants.

I have heard it is actually alot better than people give it credit. I plan on doing a drain and fill after 15k to see how it does then after if all is well stick it to the 30k recommended mark.

    OME and worth every penny.
    SuperTech IS Valvoline. You win!

Edit: I'm not a advocate of Valvoline myself but do realize it's as good as anything else out there in it's class. Since I do the 3K mile oil changes of dino oil, I do use it in my crankcase. With fresh synthetics in the diff's, I doubt they really ever need changing again unless I cross high water.

edit: I recant statement about it being Valvoline as that was a at least a 20 yr. old rumor I go off of and it seems to be impossible to prove. Still think it's a good oil at a good price if changed at rec'd intervals.

OP, do you have a limited slip rear diff? My 2007 does. If so you need to add friction modifier.
