Hey, how do the MT/R's do in the snow? You are the only guy on here that I have found that I know of that actually takes them into some deep snow. I don't trust the reviews I have read. Some people just really suck at driving in snow or haven't had the pleasure of having a crappy tire in the snow.

They're pretty awesome in powder. As you can see I've spent lots of time in powder as deep at the height of the tire, or deeper. These tires do really well. When aired down they really float. If you spin, you'll sink down like 5 inhes. It's crazy how much snow you can float on. Obviously that has to so with the size and weight of the truck and tire. But man I like them. There's a reason I bought them again. It's snowy 8 months of the year here. Suck on the icy roads, but they're nice on dry roads.

Awesome to hear. I will be going with 315-75 R16 so I should float just fine :p. I think out of everyone you have the most similar terrain and winter to what we have in Wyoming. I try telling people not to floor it in snow but everyone I go out with will spin their tires constantly and just end up digging themselves into a hole. Which is the exact reason I don't trust reviews. Ill be picking them up next week when the shop gets them in :D.

Had a quick look over of the truck in preperation for moab.

Things to address before I go-
    Grease ujoints
Check all fluids and plugs. (Lower diff plug front sweating)
    Change oil
    RR valve stem
    LF Upper uniball
Front outer cv boots (LF outer leak)
    LF shock leak

Gonna get it up on the hoist and check/replace that stuff. Also going to have a better look at the rest of the truck.

Badass man waiting for some pics when you go. Still no bites on daisy though? And are you going to try out the 37's when you go to Moab?

I was thinking about it, but probably not. I'd like to keep them brand new.

Found a boot kit I had laying around. Sweet. I'll get another one or two so I can redo my outer boots on daisy. Then have stuff left over for Alpines axles. Shouldn't need new boots since they're brand new.

We went for a walk and explored some damage from the floor last year. Pretty cool having the area to ourselves

Little guy got tired from running
    [IMG]

Snow was very deep in some areas. This happened whiłe winching out if snow that was up to the "DO" in my bumper. Thick heavy wet snow. Already had gotten stock 2 times before in 5 minutes. I think there was a fray in the line. It broke under a heavy heavy winch pull.

How did the synthetic react under the break?

Looks like a decent day out. Friggen Waiparous V.

It made an angry noise when it snapped, and it sprung back under the truck. But not with much force. It didn't flail all over the place either like the wire cable does. Pretty sure you could have caught it with a gloved hand and been ok.

Washed the truck this mornin, had a look around. This isn't ideal.

Doesn't look too bad in the pic, but it's pretty bad. From the rubicon I think. Guess they're not rubicon tested. I don't drive like an idiot either.

The big dent in. Did it's job. Protected the good stuff. But now it's compromised in my mind.
