Keep us posted 'bout this high idle switch

I do the same thing...being an engineer i always get the good ideas at night, so I keep a post it note and pen next to my bed.

My two best ideas for a high idle control both involved mechanical manipulation of the actual accelorator pedal by using stranded cable and a mechanical actuator or rear derailure shifter off a bicycle. Neither of which I ever got around to working on.

I'm very interested in seeing it done electronically. Are you going to be using a potentiometer?

It will be mechanical. Electronic would be very difficult. You'd have to trick both of the accelerator position sensors.

Having a switch would be great. But having it adjustable would be a nice feature. My idea will look factory as well. Stay tuned for an update on that.

5 minutes after I left the shop yesterday, I picked up another nail. Damnit! So I went back today and fixed both of my leaky tires. While I was at it, I replaced all 4 valve stems with heavy duty ones.

Did my rear fender liners tonight. Woot, a bit quieter inside now. And less stuff going all over. And cleaner look!

Do you have any pics of the rear liners? I'm currently cutting mine up and looking at options for getting a liner back in there. thanks!
