I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
very nice truck!! I can't wait to start to play with mine. one question, and i don't want to bug you, but how hard was it to replace the battery cables?
I don't like to brag, but I have done lots of work on cars myself, did the cat back high flow exhaust on a mustang gt one weekend by-my-self, but in all these years I have never played with battery cables? I need new,(good) ones on my babe.

Its a pain in the ass! They are all wrapped in that conduit stuff and that you have to cut to add a nrew cable. Hope this helps

yeah, it makes up my mind, that is something I will puss out on and find a good garage to do. I remember my uncle ordered a smokey and the bandit trans am, (i am a old fart) and while it was a sweet ride for the 70's for a year and half when you were driving it the car would just die. dead stop. he spent all kinds of time with pontiac people different shops...ect. the main battery cable from the starter had a slice in it and all it took was just the right wiggle and the car would die. and then it would start right up and run!

I don't like to admitt it and I would not let it fly on my truck. But I changed the power cable on my ex's 96 Tacoma and i just zip tied the new wire to the outside of the bundle since i couldn't even cut that conduit stuff off.

yeah i understand, there are just some things I feel better letting a "expert" do. Hell a few years ago I broke both bones in my right leg and one came out but within 5 month with a cast on I was jacking up my ol stang and changing the oil.

something else that is funny, i spent one long weekend putting a high flow exhaust system on, mangaflow with cats, 3" one, up to headers, by my self, and i made a few mistakes, and had to go back and correct some things and i thought i was getting old and had a pinched nerve, but that monday i drove my boss to ohare, and he told me i needed to see a doctor because by speech was splurred, well i was having a stroke, massive bleeder! doctor freeked out, i drove myself to hospital they parked my car and tossed me on a gurney.:)

the funny thing was, that was the worst 3 day in my life, 2 3 hour mri, a farting old man in the other bed, my whole right side had went numb, but after the 2nd day it started coming back, so I signed myself out went home a rested a few days and here i am, ......
and the sound that car made!!!!!
with BBK shorty headers and a high pro chip, it would make you hard!!
    and it worked perfect!
word of advise, if anyone wants to put headers on there car/truck never do it on the cheap!
there is a reason some headers are cheap and why some cost$$$
always get the best new gaskets you can, and sealent, and new heavy-duty bolts and nuts if needed. You do it right and chances are you wont have to do it again.
