OP if youres is a real TRD Off-road, you'll have an outlet in the bed, elocker button to the left of the steering wheel, overhead temp compass, different seats from sr5 or regular Tacoma, JBL speakers and sub behind passenger rear seat, blue/yellow bilsteins 4600 series, and a short bed (5.5') I might be missing a few things. If you don't have a combination of these, then chances are you have a base model 4wd sr5. If it was a sport, you'd have 17" rims and sport badges and a hood scoop and different seats.

No E-locker means it's not a TRD-OR unless they replaced it with an air locker. The sure way to know is take it to a dealer or run the vin yourself.

My 2013 TRD Offroad had three leafs springs when I purchased it. I do not know about the leaf spring package on the TRD Off Road 2006.

Sounds like somebody put the TRD Offroad stickers on a base or SR5 4x4 as others have said. If it doesn't have an e-locker and no bed outlet chances are its not an Off-road model.

Call Toyota Customer Care @ 1-800-331-4331 and give them the VIN. You can register as the owner too.

Good Luck and let us know how things go!

All TRD's are "packages" built off of the SR5, at least with this generation.

They started omitting the SR5 badge on the tailgate of the TRD package vehicles in 2013 I believe.... might have been '12.

I have a 91, but no outlet in the bed. I guess it must not be a TRD. I'm not sure why you guys are so hung up on the bed outlet, when several posts suggested that the outlet only goes back to 2012. Not anywhere close to 2006.

My '11 doesn't have an SR5 badge, so unless someone removed it it must have been before 2012.

I have a coworker with an '07 Off Road and his does have an SR5 badge.

There is no such thing as a double cab long bed with the off road package, only sr5 and sport configurations for that truck.

The inverter/bed outlet dates back to 2005

Jbl and subwoofer are separate options from the off road package, not a determining factor. I have an off road with non jbl 6 disc changer

The sticker is not fake, I can assure you it is very real...just on the wrong truck.

My '09 had a bed outlet as does my friends '05. Do more research por favor. Just because a post "suggests" something don't take it as gospel.

I've recently seen some dumbass on craigslist selling a '94 regular cab 4x4 with the 3.slow calling it a '94 Tacoma TRD Offroad. It had the sticker...
