Surpise! Remote start...

Background - 2018 TRD Pro purchased pre-owned, not from a Toyota dealership.

Imagine my surprise the other day when I click the lock button a couple extra times and the truck starts! Any suggestions on where to look to see what remote starter the previous owner installed? I have poked around a little bit under the dash but nothing jumped out at me.

 

Take the lower dash/ kick panel off it'll be easy to find look for the T harness from the ignition and follow the wire

There was a vendor here who came up with this check out the marketplace section and search remote start. Same setup, factory keyfob.

 

It’s mostly likely under the dash between the drivers side kick panel and the steering column.

 

I'm guessing it's going to look similar to the Start-x that they sell on Amazon. Little black box, plug and play harness. Those things can be hard to spot under the dash, but easy enough to remove.
