Thought i might get the opinion of those of the forum. Got my gun shipped to me surplus lot so you get what you get and mine had an arsonal repair that i didnt think too much of. Im planning on cutting a 90 angle on the stock where the new piece will start and gluing, shaping and blending the new piece of wood on the stock.

how would you attack this project

Ive done some stock replacements and fitting on my lever action taking both front and back pieces from 75% to finished product but looking for someone with this type of experience to give me some tips.

Id do it like an Arisaka stock. Have the grain of the bottom piece of wood angling down so the toe of the stock doesnt snap off again.
