guy U are sooooooo out o line

    U just want to argue

    U KNOW NOT

the guy that installs the trans does build it

the guy that hangs the door dont put them together

the guy that paints it does NOT sand ......prime then paintsng to get knots up there cracks

I know all the parts in the rear

yet the guy that assemblies it does do it from raw components

    looking at the detritus

im thinking bearings of which there are plenty in a diff

if there are issues easily the first to go

iv not given a thought to warranty....................if there is a concern the dealer should have been doing 10k checks

if everyone is goin to get knots up their cracks................why the hell would U continue to run a suspect diff

    thats stupid

    No no no no no.

All of these differentials are in the process of disintegrating.

You know and I know it. No use denying it...these trucks are shit heaps!

Who are you arguing with? No one is arguing with you, you just can't seem to comprehend that someone who does the machining of some part of the rear axle or its components, or someone that is inspecting them BEFORE ASSEMBLY, may have missed one/did a poor job. I know, it's complicated, that's why I made it bold and in all caps.

I’ve been through several new trucks in the last 5 years and always changed diff fluid and had several gear jobs done. Me personally I’ve never seen that much shavings in one. I would be nervous, but I’m just a shade tree mechanic on my own stuff.

    Anyone answer this question yet?

Most 3rd gen owners I’ve talked to have mentioned that the front diff fluid is much darker than the rear diff even when changed at the same at the same mileage.

Holy crap! What could this mean? I heard some where from someone on some forum that this means something catastrophic is going to happen! Can someone address this please before I lose sleep? Or should I remove my front diff, disassemble it and send it in to Toyota? Any help is sincerely appreciated!

Some of you need to leave the house more often lol.
Rear diff/tcase complete, moving onto front diff, then topping off trans and doing warmup procedure to get level correct.

I changed mine yesterday. Only fire and dead babies came out of the drain, so I got some fresh ones and filled 'er back up! I assume I am good to go since I made it to the recommended service interval.

They are not wear particles and if they go through the gear mesh will just get crushed because mild steel. When you get chips that are hardened is when you get wear.
If it were mine I would have a reaction of 1 and take it to dealer. Maybe mildly pissed somebody in QC missed it but shit happens every now and then.

There are 4 exposed bearing in a diff do you even have a hint of how much noise they will produce if they start to disintegrate? They stand all the load if they are coming to pieces you would know it. The axle bearings are sealed so that leaves them out until they grenade. Metal in a diff is normal. Drive more panic less.

It's a rear diff. Not a triple bypass.
