I’m looking at changing my suspension. Need help w recommendations. Just purchased my first Tacoma OR. I want a better suspension (2.5 inch)

Getting new shocks (coilover), hangers/cross bar, rear relocation, leaf pack, and UCA. Please give me some recommendations on brands to consider. Budget is 10k but can spend more if needed. Already have complete skid plates and new front bumper coming.

Also, I want Long travel front control arms. Will I need to cut my front fenders? Or flare them outward?

    Thx

PS I don’t know much about off road trucks but have been doing some research. This is part of it.

a good place to start is https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/considering-long-travel-read-here-first.180457/

There are some really good conversations in ~> https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/long-travel-suspension.113/

Plan on it taking a while as both fox and king coilovers are going to be a while out. Some of the questions that will come up and things you should ask yourself is what is the intent of the LT suspension? Go fast desert stuff or low speed rock crawling stuff? Just want more travel than a stock extended travel coilover can offer? I think for 10k you are going to be cutting it close to get both front and rear done. Even if that is just the parts budget.

I want it for trail riding but want the extra travel. Won’t be going that fast. Not doing a Baja race.

I can do 15k budget too. But don’t want to go too much more.

As I do more research it doesn’t seem worth it to do the long travel upgrades. Too many additional mods needed. I’ll probably just upgrade the front UCA to mid travel. and 2.5 coilover Fox. will probably take the sway bars off too

As for the rear end… I’ll upgrade the shocks, add hangers w cross bar and new leaf pack

Lt is a rabbit hole that I’m not sure I’m ready to invest in. I bought extended travel kings and will run this for a bit. Next jump will be to a full leaf pack, hangers and a shock relocation.
