If you are challenged driving it then just change the ft shocks, no need to lift it.....try carpooling or uber till you change them.....did you test drive it before you bought it?

Thanks guys. As, I understand, the only reason for the 5100 over the 4600 would be the additional lift from the 5100. I plan to upgrade from the stock shocks, keeping the stock springs, so it seems the 4600 would be the way to go.

Now, with that being said, if I went the 5100 route and put it on the 1st setting, how much of a lift are we talking front and rear?

You can put different weight oil in them to tune them to your liking. The seal kit is $10 per shock from Ironman and you can rebuild all 4 in a day.

Hadn’t even considered different oil in them. I’ll have to look into that. Thanks.

This is what I run. Heavy off-roading and overlanding. If I'm completely empty and running highway speeds, it will float a little but I don't run a swaybar and it still feels planted in the turns.

roughly 0.5" of lift per slot depending on the truck. rear shocks wont add any lift by themselves.

Another vote for stock suspension if you prioritize daily driving and minimal maintenance, unless you want a lift for other reasons, these trucks are super capable stock. I'd invest in taller tires and armor for offroading before a lift or suspension in general, at least that's what I did, no regrets. A lift only raises the body of the truck, taller tires raise the diffs/axles (i.e. the important stuff that's likely to get hit first). I beat my truck up on 2 different Moab trips with just 33x10 (255/85R16) tires and skid plates/sliders and the sway bar removed, the suspension was not a limiting factor. I also have no desire to do additional maintenance on my truck if I can avoid it and I have no need for a lift, the original suspension components should last a long time and be cheap to replace.
