    Hey!

My name is Caleb and I just joined the forum, I've used it for years and decided it's time to join! Thanks to you all for the awesome information!!!

I've got a 1998 Tacoma Extra Cab 4x4 3.4v6 (160,000 k miles) and it's pretty much stock. I've done the maintenance like water pump, belts, etc. but looking into suspension lift, tires, and overall upgrades to level up my outdoor adventures. :mudding:

I'm not looking to go with a crazy high lift or massive tires. Right now I'm looking at the Old Man Emu lift kits 2-3inches and 32-33inch tires to avoid body trimming.

What are some ideas for lifting 2-3 inches???
Any other suspension-related maintenance I should check on like bushings, ball joints, control arms, etc. please let me know! Thanks!!!

I'm also in the market for a new camper shell, ideally the Leer 122!!! if you are in the Southern CA area please let me know!

I upgraded to the 2" ARB/OME kit a couple of months ago and have been happy with it. Nothing revolutionary, but it rides better than the worn-out stock suspension and it didn't break the bank.

Nice! Yeah That's what I'm looking into. Did you choose the heavy-duty or medium?

I went with the 2881 coils because I don't run an aftermarket bumper up front. From what I remember, the medium/heavy duty setups are for folks with ARB bumpers -- I think it's possible to swap out coils later if you decide to upgrade. I did opt for new leaf springs as well and am really glad I did. Helps a bunch with ride quality with a loaded bed.
