I have a 2005 2.7 base model 5 lug that has almost 200k on it. The tires are old and the ball joints/control arm bushings/shocks/struts etc are due so I figured I would rebuild all at once. I got a great deal on 5 brand new Jeep takeoffs wheels with 245/75-R17 tires and ordered some quality 1" hub centric adaptors.

Here is my noob question that I hope can get some insight.
I was going to put in the Pro Comp 65660K leveling kit along with Bilstein 5100 shocks and 4600 struts.

If I am going to replace the control arms/tie rods/sway bar links is there a better way to get the 3" lift the Pro Comp level kit offers? From what I can tell there isn't a whole lot of mods like this for the base model 5 lugs.

Does the leveling kit mess with the geometry and would I be better off with different size control arms or should I just replace with the original size parts. I was going to order Moog control arms.

    I hope this makes sense.

I have been lurking here for a long time. I bought this truck new in October 2005 and plan on keeping it till some idiot runs into me and totals it. I had a frame replacement done with the recall a while back. Fluids and maintenance are all kept up by me and it runs great. I gutted the catalytic converter after it crapped out.

    Thanks!
