    what does a coil over kit do for you vs just having shock absorbers?

    this is not true, coil over strut is what you have on your truck from factory or OME that is also coil over strut, adjustable coilovers are different again. shock absorbers give you no lift,you gain lift in the rear by way of adding a leaf to your leaf pack,longer shackles,adding a block or by whole new leaf pack.
