So I’ve searched through the archives of the forum to try and find what I’m looking for and haven’t been successful. I hope nobody gets mad about a new thread. So I’m trying to raise the front end of the truck since adding a bumper and winch made it drop a bit. I’m running OME BP51 setup. I measured from top of tire to fender. The front is about 6 1/2” and the rear is 8”. What’s the best way to level it out a bit. Spacers? I don’t want to preload too much on the front coil overs. 60B0EE6B-A0AB-4551-A5DF-6C9240EB494F.jpg

Preload. Can you exchange coils on the BP-51?

FWIW I think it looks perfect. Just enough rake that when you have gear in the back, it levels itself out.

But to answer your question --> you can either preload the spacers a little bit, or switch to a heavier spring rate and taller spring.

For instance, you can go to a 14" 700lb spring and you'll have little-to-no preload.

Try preloading the coils more and see if the ride quality changes. If so, just get a 14" 700lb spring and be done!

Does OME make a taller spring for the BP51? I know the preload is at like 20mm. I don’t know how much is too much.

That’s what I want to find out. Arb advertises this system as not needing a heavier spring with added weight.

True it’s supposed to work with their battering ram of a bumper.

    Likely just needs more preload.

Oh you got room, crank it down 3 turns each side and see where it falls.

that’ll have to be a weekend project for sure. I’m guessing they’re not the easiest to crank down on. I’m just worried about ruining ride quality.
