I noticed something odd about the upper control arm bushing on my passenger side there is a gap change between the top and bottom of the bushing. Is this anything to be concerned about?

I think you're fine. Those washers aren't the most precise things around. I have all four that I removed from my truck last weekend and they don't stack flat like quarters.
