i noticed th last couple days that i was getting more driveline bibrations than normal, I thought I should check out my driveshaft and make sure everyhing looked good. But then as I was walking over I noticed the back of my truck was sitting a bit osdly... the left side was lower than the right. Took out a measuring stick and sure enough from the top of the tire to the wheel well was 11" on the right and about 9" on the left. All the leafsprings are intact, everything looks fine except the height.

    Any clues? Im baffled...

I have an add a leaf spring in there. It usually sits about about 3" lift from stock. And no my tank is pretty low, but either way theres no way that would cause a 2" difference side to side...

I would say that your spring are shot then. Thats if all your bushing and shackles are in one piece

Could it be a blown shock? I read that somewhere but that doesnt make sense to me since shocks dont actually take load... would just be nice because bilstein 5100s have lifetime warantee

So i just found out my truck has a leaf spring recall on it. Think theres a good chance a leaf spring cracked. I have an add a leaf in there, if I go to get the recall done are they going to tell me I cant because ai have the add a leaf? I would really prefer to not have to take it apart to remove the aal and then after they do the recall take it apart again to put it back in...

On mine I have AAL and 1 inch block, they replaced the springs after I brought them longer u-bolts for the blocks but would not move the AAL, that I replaced myself after buying new.

So thats one yes and one no. Ill call them in the AM and ask anonymously and aee what they say. A broken leaf spring is the only thing that makes sense, even though I cant see an obvious crack anywhere...

They like to crack right in the center between the u-bolts.

Edit to last post; they replaced springs when they did the frame.

I took it in this morning. I asked if they would move the AAL to the new leaf pack and he said that probably wouldn't be a problem. Fingers crossed this fixed my problem!

Shouldn't be a problem at all. Recall is a recall. I had a block installed when I had mine done and it wasn't a problem. Also be prepared to have the rear sag worse now. These new leaf springs are just as shitty if not worse than the older set. At least my old ones had 100k with no squeaks. The new ones started squeaking 200 miles in...

Ugh nevermind... they just called and said they had to return it to stock so they won't put the AAL and shims in. So as soon as I get it home I need to tear it apart and put the lift back in the leaf pack. pain in my ass... expecially since its rainy and I won't get to do it for a few days so I'll be driving around with bro lift for a while... smh

So got the new leaf springs but im still squating on the left... now even more cause my AALs are not installed. I guess the only possibility is the shocks. Anybody dealt with the lifetime warantee on bilstein 5100s?
