Thanks. In the second pic it looks like a coilover sleeve over the 5100’s. Can I do that instead? If so, where can I find the sleeves, springs, caps, etc.? And long enough to replace the 6” spacer.

Thanks for all your help tacoma lovers, and don’t get me wrong, I am considering all options. Budget is tight now and am just trying to work with what I already have. But knowledge is key and that’s why I’m here. If I may have to save up for it and ride it like it is now, I will. Since this is my play truck, it sits in my garage at least 25 days in a month, so I’m in no rush to upgrade it or push it over the 82k miles...yup only 81k on a ‘07.

Ok guys, I’ve been thinking and will take your recommendations. I’ve decided to go with the coilover route and ditch the spacers/blocks. Took my truck to 4wheelparts and the guy told me I have a fabtech basic 6” lift kit. And recommended, since my kit is fabtech, that I stick with fabtech’s dirt logic 2.5 6” lift coilover (kit # fab fts26059) at $1388.55 after tax (parts only, uninstalled). (https://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspens....aspx?t_c=1&t_s=90&t_pt=3306&t_pn=FABFTS26059)

I’ve also saw that icon makes a set at $1575 before tax/shipping for the 6” lifts (http://iconvehicledynamics.com/shop...ift-adjustable-front-coil-over-shock-kit.html)

A little about how I use my truck....Truck will be driven about 3-4 Times a month in city/highway about 10-15 miles each time and will probably only see dirt trails or long distance trips during hunting season. So in a year it only gets about 1000miles at most. Keep in mind I have an aftermarket front bumper, winch, and sliders. No towing/ major hauling.

So for the fronts only, will either fabtechs or icon c/o mention above be a direct replacement of my factory shock/spring and fabtech 6” spacer? Which one is a better investment? Will either support the weight of my vehicle? Or are there other better options out there. I want to get something that is a direct replacement of the spacer and shock/coils used in the fabtechs basic lift kit. I prefer to not mess with any other lift parts. Also at the best price for what i use my truck for.

Then there’s the rear, after dumping the blocks, what aal pack should I get to compliment the front and will my, already bought, bilstein 5125 (part#33-230375 ext-28.33” collapse-17.11”) be sufficient enough?

Or base on how I use my truck and how it is, just keep the basic lift and replace the shocks/springs only?

    Need recommendation.

Thanks for all your help Taco lovers!

@Tuby07 The Fabtech coilovers are the way to go if you're looking for the best ride. There is specific valving and spring rates that are tailored to the Tacoma with a 6" lift and bigger tires, and are better suited for supporting aftermarket bumpers/winches. There is also no problem running the spacer with the stock shock/springs either, and you can probably find a lot of good cheap sets that guys are taking off when they change out their suspension. Basically, you can't go wrong with either setup. The coilovers that you were given are actually for a 95.5-04 Tacoma 0-3.5" system and wouldn't do you any good...

Thanks greenefsi. Man so many options. Was going to do coilovers but can’t really justify the cost for how my truck is used. So I was leaning more towards the extended bilstein 5100 used in the RCD lift with either OME 886 or the eibach springs.

Any recommendations, suggestions, pros/cons of this setup? I really don’t like the huge spacer.

Haven't had any experience with extended Bilsteins, but if it helps, the springs in the Fabtech coilovers are 600lbs made by Eibach.

6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
Anybody got a part number to the extended Bilstein shocks? I already have the eibach springs. I just need new shocks and I want to get rid of the spacer
