So I'm a new Tacoma owner and new to TW. I have a suspension question for the experienced owners. I live in the Eastern NC and I most do freeway/highway driving, but my wife and I are starting to go camping and possibly get into overlanding. I've been looking at upgrading the suspension, wheels & tires before I start modding everything else. The goal is to lift about 2.5' until necessary to upgrade front bumper and to be able to run 33s after a CMC chop once the suspension is done.

I've been looking at Bilstein Kit and wanted to hear some recommendations on this particular kit or any ones you recommend.

I’m in the same situation and settled on the Bilstein 6112/5160 through Headstrong.

I’ve only ran the set up for a few days and love it so far.

It’s not terribly expensive like true coil overs however it’s not an entry level lift either.

Getting the suspension installed professionally with the ECGS bearing and upper control arms costs a pretty penny too which is why I didn’t want to buy an entry level suspension kit. Do it once and hopefully like it.

That’s my opinion. Check out the 6112 thread for more details.9EBB9ECB-CA70-4C13-B66C-F1FA2DFEED7E.jpg
