I searched around the forum, and I haven't found an answer to my specific questions, so I thought I would start a new question and hopefully it will help more people out in the future than just myself.

    I just bought a 2004 Tacoma SR5 TRD Extra Cab 4x4.

It has a 3" Pro Comp lift, and 33" Nitto Trail Grapplers.

The ride is pretty good, and it seems to have decent power, but I'm scrubbing the wheel well pretty badly in the front, and there's not much I can do about it without cutting the wheel well it seems. So here's what I'm thinking, and where I need the help.

    1. I'm looking into a Body Lift, like 3" or so. I'm not a huge fan of body lifts, but I figured it would stop my scrubbing problem.

    2. I'm also looking into a leveling kit for the front. The front sits about 1.5" lower than the rear, and I wasn't sure if a 2" leveling kit would fix my scrubbing issue.

    3. Considering that I already have a 3" Pro Comp lift, would I need to upgrade shocks in the front/rear if I chose to go with a 3" body lift, or a 2" leveling kit.

    4. Can I do a 3" Body and 2" Leveling kit on top of the 3" Suspension? If so, where should I get the body lift and leveling kit, and if I need new shocks, what size and where do I get them?

Sorry for all the questions, I just really don't know much about these things and would like to learn as much as I can.

    Thanks in advance!

So you are currently raised 3 inches front and rear? If so, and you want to put 2 inch spacers on top of the 3 inch in front, kiss your CV's goodbye!

I'm running ~2.75 inch lift up front with 32 inch tires with NO scrubbing. Dropping down to a 32 inch tire (265/75-16) would be best in my opinion. But that's just me since I would NEVER do a body lift.

No spacers, but I did the pinch weld mod.
    No rubbing at all.

    My tires are 33"

My body lift is from Roger Brown

Body lifts are crap highest body lift I would ever consider is 1".

As for the suspension you can't put a leveling kit on it max a first gen 4x4 can go is 3" with out doing a drop braket lift or going sas

My advice start trimming or go down a size in rubber

Iv got 33" mt's and you will be surprised how little you actually have to trim. I just had to hammer my pinch welds. And cut the front inner plastic back.

Thanks for the advice. After thinking about it, might just spend the extra money and go with a 6" suspension lift. What would be a ball park estimate for that kind of procedure?

Probably in the $3000 range. Keep on mind that of you go 6" it is basically going to be a mall crawler and you won't be able to reverse the procedure and go back down to a 3" . Due to cutting out the cross member to stick on the drop brackets. Plus the off road ability of the 6" lifts suck.
