I know there are hundreds of posts on suspension...Need some input on what direction to go. I have a 2005 TRDOR DC. Currently has 5100 billsteins all around, 1" block on back, strut spacers up front. I have decided I am going to keep this truck forever, ready to do it right without breaking the bank. I would like to go to a larger tire (33"?), currently on 265/75/16 with aftermarket wheels. I have read anything over 3" is too much. That said, can I keep the 5100's, and add components? Or do I start from scratch? Not looking to drop $3k on suspension. Don't do any crazy wheeling. Pics of current setup.IMG_20200816_121426.jpgIMG_20200821_065239.jpg

For the front you could do new springs (I think 883s are common if your not going to have extra weight up front) and then do an AAL from headstrong in the back, and keep your over load spring on if you need more rear lift than just the 1.5” from the AAL.

I have 5100s and the AAL but I’m gunna break the bank a little and get 6112s in the front for some extra performance

I'd say start from scratch. I have a similar setup and finally ordered the 6112/ 5160 kit from WOR. still won't be here for a month. I also said I'm keeping her forever, so she might as well sit proper. Also at least anything better than 5100 has some resale value. Just my 2 cents

You didn't really say why you want to change anything. Are the 5100's old and worn out? Are you looking for more lift? What are the complaints you're having?

For starters, ditch the block & spacers. If you're happy with the 5100's keep them and get OME springs for them (883 or 884's do your research on what height you want) and put an AAL in the rear. That'll clean up the ride right from the start without breaking the bank.

I figured his setup was beat and in need of new like me but totally agree that the 5100/aal setup is a good bang for the buck.
