    Hey all,

I'm not really a truck guy. I'm a track car guy. I love my '21 V6 TRD Off-Road (since the KDMax tune). Don't get me wrong, I enjoy doing some trail riding in it, pulling my SxS with it, getting groceries, and dropping my kiddos off at school. My favorite is getting out there in the snow and doing stupid stuff. So my mistake, however, that I'm now realizing, is that I added a front bumper, rear bumper, and heavy ass rock rails to the car (both Body Armor pieces for the bumpers and RCI rails), along with a winch, and the driving dynamics just went to shit because of the added weight in the nose of the car. Oh, I also have the heavy stock TRD skid plate installed.

Right now I'm riding on stock TRD Off-Road suspension with no factory lift kit. I'm interested in maybe a 1 inch lift, leveling out the vehicle, while at the same time making sure the suspension is up to the task of handling the extra weight of what I've put on the vehicle both on and off road. I enjoy the more high speed trail riding rather than rock crawling.

Not really worried about the money aspect of it, but what are some good options for me for what I'm doing with it. I've read a lot on here and vendors websites and I'm just not sure what the best pieces and parts are that I need for a good setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd be getting it all professionally installed so I don't dick it up.

Contact Headstrong offroad. Talk to Marie, or another there. Tell them what you all have on truck. They will set you up with right setup.

Honestly for what you are talking about using it for. Bilstein 5100's and an add-a-leaf would be just fine for you. It'll give you a little more aggressive look and ride about the same. There are much more expensive kits out there but they are more for fully suspension cycling during rock crawling, extra cooling capabilities for baja style driving, and extended travel for extra clearance/traction. But just for the average farm road/forest service road and towing, you don't need all that stuff.

With all the added weight up front he is going to want beefier coils also, not just raising coils that are constantly compressed more than stock.

Hey all, I really appreciate the feedback! I'll reach out to the folks mentioned. I'd rather spend the money and get a solid setup now. My goal is to get up to the dunes in MI at some point in '24 and maybe out west for some fun, fast stuff ("baja style" I guess you could say). Just knowing what I know about suspension from my track cars, will definitely need beefier coils up front to account for the extra weight in the nose. If anyone else has other input or can link to some options I'd appreciate it. Hope everyone has a good holiday break!
