    Hi all,

Looking for recommendations on suspension upgrades. I've seen a lot of brands, and there is obviously a lot to choose from. That's why I'm here. What have you all experienced? I'm looking for something that lets you have better performance with offroad driving but still allows the truck to be driven daily on the road. Thanks!

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
ADS or Kings are the top of the line. I run ADS personally and they are great. Search around and do some research to see what best suits you

Depends on your budget so read all those posts on suspension.
On my 2009 TRD off road I used Dakars and 5100s all around and back got about 3" and set fronts to 2" or second from top.
If a shop does them all you will in for $1500-2000 but a long weekend you can do it with some friends help if you have the tools and jack.
You will need an alignment after and the cams often are frozen so new ones required. I dumped mine off at 4wheelparts for 2 days to do it all. The 2" front allows alignment with stock a-arms as I've been running them for 5 years and only rotate balance every 10k and have no uneven tire wear and drives straight and no bump steer. Lots of choices and only money will limit you. Any higher and you will get into front suspension parts and drivetrain issues probably. I already had just put a 1 piece TM driveshaft in. Enjoy - it will ride much better.

Keep in mind op any lift over 2.5in you will have to get aftermarket UCAs so keep that in your mind when it comes to budgeting.

I'm running Fox 2.5 coil-overs which give me 2 inches of lift on the front and Fox 2.0 extended lengths with Dakar medium duties giving me about 2.5 ish inches of lift on the rear. I really couldn't be happier with this setup. It's miles better than the stock suspension on and off-road. I couldn't recommend it more.

OP just keep in mind if you don’t need the high end performance of the top tier brands it may not be worth the added maintenance. If you’re a casual off-roader you could start with something disposable like a 5100 and work your way up from there. There are quite a few middle of the road options out there that many people are happy with.

But if you have the money and want the best I hear the top tier stuff is worth it if you plan on pushing your truck hard.

Budget is everything, my Boss 2.0 kit is very nice I went with Dakar medium rear springs as I regularly carry extra weight, I ran this set up with factory UCA's no problem. Suspension is addicting though, I'm waiting on Fox 2.5s w/DSC front and rear from accutune now and have SPC UCA's installed for the new setup. Original was budget friendly, upcoming the budget kinda went out the window!

5100s are lifetime so...…………..some of you guys must be beating the crap out of your Tacoma off road and /or at higher speeds than I go!
As stated above depends on your intended use. If you do drive a lot of highways/freeways at 75 or so putting too big a lift and stripping down the front with a high clearance bumper reduces mileage, plus bigger tires with higher load rating=weight and rolling resistance.

Nothing is "lifetime". Suspension parts are just more wear and tear parts. I have never beat my Bilsteins and they are beginning to show leaks as well as the quite a bit of rust through the pretty zinc plating (although at the cost of nearly 100k miles) my 885's have sagged a half inch or so too. Leaf spring eye bushings are also loose and clunky.

If you are the original purchaser and have a receipt and they are leaking Bilstein will give you a new one or set. That is stated on their site. If you hit them and crunched the shock you are out of luck. I keep all receipts and often get replacements for items I installed as I keep my vehicles 10 years or longer. When I had my 89 Suburban 4x4 by 300k I had done a lot of stuff 2 or 3 times all free, well my labor sucked but....and yea I know a GM and parts failed more often.
