Hey, I just purchased my 05 V6 4x4 TRD taco and I was hoping for some advice on some suspension upgrades. The last owner installed 2" spacers in the front and rear shocks and I want to remove those because they are really straining the stock axels and suspension system. I just had to replace the axels because they ripped because of the strain. I just got new rear leaf springs via recall so I don't want to replace those but I want to upgrade/lift my suspension without straining it. I've heard that the Old Man Emo kit is really good because it does not strain the suspension but I really don't want to replace my brand new rear leaf shocks. Any suggestions on good lift kits or shocks, I'm kinda new to all this?

    Budget: Under 2k
Want:2 or 3 inch Lift without straining axels or suspension

Could just do an Add-a-leaf to your new leaf pack and then get some springs upfront or buy Bilstein 5100's and set them to the first notch.

Kinda depends on your budget and how much lift you want.

I'm looking for something around or under 2k and a 2" or 3" lift would be nice.

Bilstein 5100s, AFE dry intake, Icon AAL pack, Bed stiffeners, and ideally some UCAs soon
If that’s your budget I would get an icon aal and some bilstein 6112s.

if you’re not installing yourself and wanna save money get the 5100s with some springs like stated above

I went with a Headstrong AAL on my OEM leaf pack, OME 883's and Bilstein 5100's all the way around. I think with what I paid for the front springs to be installed and the alignment I am right around $1100 total. That netted me 1" front and 1.5" rear lift. You could go with the OME 884's (same price) for a 1.75-2" front lift. Just giving you an idea of cost if you can at least do some of the work.

Are you doing the install or paying someone?

Hmm ok. And I'm mainly concerned about straining the axels, would those shocks be fine in that regard. I just don't want to have to replace them again.

Under 2" should be no problem as far as axle angles go and all that. The rear MAY require a small shim but I didn't put one in and haven't had any issues.

That kit you used @rnish looks really good. Where is the best place to purchase it?

Those are Bilstein 6112 & 5160’s. I’ve used HeadstrongOffroad, Downsouth, & Wheelers for stuff. I don’t know about current price and availability.
