    Hey y’all,

I am sure there is a thread out there but could someone maybe point me in the right direction… I am looking to upgrade my 2020 Stock OR suspension. Not looking for a massive lift or anything I just want to be able to handle some off terrain better for camping.

At some point I might add weight with a canopy so if I need to add something to prevent sag I would appreciate the guidance.

    Thank you!

Interested in the same! 60k on my 2016 sport and like the stock height. Looking for minimal lift but better performance if possible. In for info!

"helper spring". The best performance you can get is with your stock suspension.

i have a platform to snooze on and a topper on my 2017 OR and put an Icon add-a-leaf 3-pack with new shocks on the back which added about an inch to the rear (it’s supposed to add 1.5” but I had sagged a half inch over time). I didn’t do anything up front. Very happy with result.

Very nice! Thank you for this! Ride quality noticeable or not so much?

right after I put this stuff on I thought it rode a little smoother, took bumps better etc but honestly I’m more of a “vehicle is a tool to get me to point B carrying all my crap” so I’m not sure. Quality of the ride did not get worse, that much is certain. I did like the ride of the off road a lot more than the sport so I guess I’m partial to a softer ride.

If you’re not worried about lifting (much) I can’t recommend the TRD Pro Fox shocks enough! You have to be patient and keep a look out, but folks tend to sell them as low mile take offs for <$1500 (almost 3k new). Lifts the front about an inch to level the truck, makes highway driving more enjoyable with a more supple feel, reduces nose dive and body roll, improving handling considerably over the OR shocks AND it softens up nicely off-road. Not too hard to install yourself either!

Bilstein 5100's all around 1 inch lift in the front - Icon 3 leaf AAL in the rear 1.5 inch lift. I carry a roof top tent and gear when I go camping and it sits level.

Just picked up a slightly used set and installing them on Friday. Looking forward to the improved ride.

The Icon Add A leaf has been helpful, but turns out it's not enough for what we do. When we add reserve fuel, water, RTT, and armor, firewood and camping gear we still sag a bit and that additional clearance in the rear goes out the window. We're looking for something more beefy for the rear end.

Luckily you're doing it early! I lived with that OR suspension for 80k miles and am kicking myself for not swapping it earlier. Whole different driving experience w/o all the body roll and nose diving + it just feels safer and more planted while not being harsh. And as a bonus when I'm on washboard gravel roads and the like, it ACTUALLY dampens and smooths out vs. the bouncy, often bottomed out, performance of the OR shocks in similar conditions.
