I have 2014 DCLB with stock springs, Bilstein 5100 set at 2.5 and 1 or 1.5 blocks in the rear. I'm running 285/75/16 Toyo Open Country a/t ll and have stock uca. I've had this setup for about 90k miles and it has been great. Majority of my driving is highway and plan to keep it that way till about 150k and turning it into a dedicated winter/offroad rig.

I'm wanting to upgrade the suspension with new uca, 885s in the front and Dakars in the rear. I'm a little hesitant to change my setup as I have no rubbing with 285s and have a strong feeling the moment I get the caster sitting at 3.0 I'm going to be rubbing in the back of the inner fender/cab mounts. My goal is to keep the 285s or upsize to 295s. Keep in mind I am all street right now. My Relentless Fabrication rock sliders I just ordered are for shopping carts and people who don't know how to open doors in a parking lot. My truck has a greater purpose later on in its life and it's a slow build.
Any suggestions on the uca? I want to stay with a ball joint setup. The LR uca looks to be best for my needs.

You are probably correct about the change in alignment/caster causing rubbing. I was fine with 285s until I got Icon UCAs and set caster around 3*. CMC and trimming a chunk of fender took care of most of it.

I had the same experience. 285's rubbing on the back side of the fender well area after I put in the Camburg UCA's.. Body mount chop took tare of the problem.

3* or more of caster will take you forward, away from the cab mount. Not saying a CMC is not needed, but you might be able to get away with it. A lot depends on the actual tire you go with. Good luck!

The factory caster adjustment will take tire forward when trying to go positive.(Lower control arms) Trying to go positive with uca will move the tire back. Like many people I've maxed out my factory adjustment for caster. To my benefit it put me in sweet spot and I have no rubbing. With 90k miles on compressed factory springs from the Bilsteins set at 2.5..... I'm thinking they have dropped some. Unfortunately I never took any measurements after I lifted it. I'm thinking that I might get more lift than what I have now by adding the 885s. They are both 2.5 but the 885s is the right way and preloading the factory spring is on borrowed time. At least from everything I've read. Does anyone have any experience with sagging with the 5100s set at 2.5 and factory springs?
