I had seats out of an xB. The rails were the correct width so I went for it and didn't realize how tall they were

Look in my build. Like page 8-11? I did the xb seats and had to cut out a section on the side and weld it back together. Like I said. Huge pita and would have rather just bought a set.

Leveling jacks. I like it. I just use my highlift but that would be way nicer.

well i got the trailer rolling and mounted the tent to try it out this weekend. works really well. I'm thinking of mounting a pet cool type air conditioner to the trailer and running a hose to the tent for heat / air to make sleeping more comfortable.

Trailer is 5x7 on 35" tires. It's pretty wide lol

    Nice! Very capable 400hp RWD

On a side note, I got invited by Michelin to the Fontana Speedway (California Speedway?) to punish one of those.
As I had never driven a car on a track, the instructor was Didier Theys and he was yelling "Faster!! Floor it!! Turn! Faster!!!"
After my three laps, he then pulled out his 458 and was showing how its really done...

I had an opportunity to drive a Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari F430 F1, and Audi R8 (warmup car lol) at a track made for these cars. It was so much fun. Every single one of the instructors were yelling at me to floor it and pick up my speed. I had one guy push my leg down for me haha. But as far as a DD "sports car" goes, I dont think it gets much better than the ISF. Toyota reliability with a 5.0L v8.. I mean come on lol

Got some more stuff done to the truck.

    - Welded the spring clips together to keep the springs from turning on each other and popping
    - Fab'd up the old POS bumper that was once on the truck with ifs. (cut off the stinger, added filler plates between the tubes, etc)
    - Mounted the winch in the bumper (12k badlands w/ synthetic line and aluminum fairlead)
    - Trimmed the flares for less rubbing at full lock
    - Ordered all my CB stuff need to install it

Will update with pic today since I finished last night and didnt have any light to take pics.

Been doing some real work and some fun booty fab messing around with the truck.

Here's a the things I've got finished in the last couple days.

-Since I have no turn signals (no bumper and the fuse kept shorting) I decided to cut the DRL wires and splice the turn signal wires in their place. This resulted in the quick blinking turn signals because of the lower power draw much like an LED replacement. I dug under the dash and found the relay responsible for the quick turn signals and took it apart. Once we had it apart we drilled out the pin from the appropriate chip and voila! no more fast blinking. I plan on using the now cut DRL wires as all time fogs later on down the road.

-My hood latch cable has been stretched out for a while to where it will barely open the hood at the end of the pull. To fix that we put 3 small lock washers on the end of the cable closest to the hood and closed up the lock end. Good as new.

    unnamed.jpg

-The last booty fab thing came when I tried to check my Tcase fluid level and noticed that the PO had rounded off the head so bad that we had to take a hammer and chisel it off. Once we had it off, I used a grinder to get a flat surface, then welded a nut on top. Voila... it works haha.

    unnamed (1).jpg

-Got all of my drive belts changed

-Since I have no more fender liners, I discovered that mud easily gets into my air box (filter was covered in mud). Decided to remove the long pipe under the fender, seal it up with a piece of aluminum, and cut out some of the air box to allow it to breath. Yeah the air will be warmer, but i figure slightly warmer is better than mud covered.

-Received in my Blue sea fuse block, circuit breaker, 8 rock lights, switches, and offroad lights..

-Received in my Trail gear HD long slip driveshaft

-Installing my bump stops front and rear finally. Tired of eating my fenders alive.

Doing all this to get ready for AOP this coming weekend! Should be a big group out there.. Also I have been toying with the idea of ordering 40s. Found some used sets locally, if I get an email back, I'm pulling the trigger.

Got the rock lights installed last night. Turned out pretty sweet. 8 lights to do this long wheelbase.
