Super uncomfortable seats was the first thing I noticed when I bought the truck. I thought it would break in, and it did a little, but still sucks. Stuffing padding in my seats won’t work because of heated seats. It would be great if 4Runner seats were a direct swap. Although I’d venture to guess that’s not a cheap endeavor.

Unfortunately just commuting, but that can be up to an hour at times and it’s been extremely comfortable. Looking forward to wheeling it soon.

I have heated seats too. The upholstery shop pulled the seat apart, removed the bottom cushion and heating element, placed a new thicker cushion, put the element back in place and put it all back toegether. The functionality is exactly the same as it was before and the seat looks totally normal just a little thicker.

added lower support to mine as i installed the leather FYI the "popping" is the lumbar support drove me nuts till I opened the seat and saw the source it's a cable end slotted trough the frame when the cable is tightened it pops into place in the hole it is slotted in wish i had taken a pic they all do it I went to the dealer and checked them all. after adding padding it is much better

Still feels great! Honestly it’s such a huge improvement for the cost. Just an FYI my 6’7” brother in law drove it and complained his head hit the ceiling, but I’m not sure he would have fit well before either. It only added about a half inch to the seat bottom, but keep that in mind if you’re very tall.

Finally had a good test of the seat with a week of driving to Moab, wheeling and back and I have only good things to say about the change.

Lean the seat back, remove headrest, rotate it 180 degrees, reinsert the headrest, move seatback up to desired position.
In this position, the headrest won’t click in to varying height, but even at the lowest position it’s high enough for even the tallest driver. Top of headrest at top of ears, but you want the headrest close to the back of your head for safety and a decrease in whiplash in a rear end collision.

With the seatback in a normal driving position, the rotated headrest will hit the ceiling but not come out of the top of the seat. Thinking of a rollover or accident.
I suppose you could make notches on the opposite post to make it adjustable for height and keep it from moving up further than desired.

Well not sure adding spacers helped. My butt was so sore yesterday and back after just 45 min and after 2 hrs . Argh. Left them in passenger side for wife and I liked them and had them in for week on my side but really after yesterday seems not working s last night took.them back out.on my side and will see how today goes. Can't wait.to.get into seat shop later this week I hope to try the padding. Trying to get them to understand what St Germain had done. I also think the bolsers need to be filled in and more flattened out. Still need to.keep the same stock look but lot.less bolster

Can you please post a pic of these spacers? Are they just lifting the seat up higher?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Yup, I find my 3rd gen seats to be the most comfortable I've ever sat on.

Done mutiple 6-10 road trips with the no issues.
