Getting ready to wire up my XTorch 40” light bar. I bought the TRS relay, but I don’t like all the extra ring terminals to supply power to the switch.

I have a leftover Rigid relay that I didn’t use when I installed my Rigid fogs (wired into OEM wiring).

The rigid relay is more compact and there aren’t the additional ring terminal connections for the switch, as it it is grounded through the relay ground.

I used the rigid for my bumper bar and all I had to do was use a add-a-fuse for the switch positive so that the switch lit up with the other dash switches.

The light bar connections are different, as the XTorch uses 9006 connections, but I could just clip and solder the light bar 9006 connector to pos/neg wires on the rigid connector. Correct?

My real question deals with the relay specs -

    The TRS is 40a 12v with a 25a in-line fuse.

    The rigid says 60a 14vdc with a 15a in-line fuse.

Is there cause for concern if I use the rigid relay and solder the 9006 connector?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
