    Hey guys

I flushed out my evap corse with A/C line cleaner and finished it off with compressed air. Had to install the oem expansion valve as the heads of the torque bolts had to be drilled out and the oem valve comes with the entire rig (bolts:housing etc). I need to swap out the condenser as well which I am
    Working on now.

I installed a remanufactured compressor from NAPA because I live next door to one and needed to drive but my belt was siezing.

Anyways, my question is the compressor came prefilled with oil but I never emptied it to measure what was in it and I still have the original compressor. Do I need to measure those or should I just add a certain amount of oil to the condenser? I searched and searched and found a general amount to be added to each device that’s being swapped out but it wasn’t for Toyota per say.
    Thanks guys

Thanks Jimmy. One of the links to custom tacos didn’t work but none of those links ever work for me. But good info still as usual. Anyone know how to add oil to the evap core?

Hey guys. This is the new UAC condenser from rock auto. This look ok looks like a few of the fins are bent… also, to remove the denso condenser how do you get those black plastic mounts off or do you not?

Refrigerant oil is a pain to measure. Tacoma takes 5oz dry, dry, dry.

Basically if the system already has oil and fully recovered with parts replaced and a dry compressor, we add 2-3oz

Literally just guessing because the other components have oil.

If the new compressor has oil, 1-2oz.

    Hey gents

the High Pressure line thst connects to the condenser near the high oressire valve
the new compressor came with 3oz of oil.

I ran a vacuum on it I let it sit to see if it would hold a vacuum and it did so for over an hour.

since the system was completely dry minus what’s in the new compressor, I will add no more than 2oz of PAG46. God I pray this works

So I correctly added one 12 oz can to my 2013 Tacoma I heard the compressor kick on its still on and my readings to me seem high for half of a load of refrigerant

Usually I like to drain the oil that the compressor comes with and put in the same amount of pag. Some prefilled oil is only used for shipment and others may come with the correct oil.

As for your gauge readings, they don't seem high at all. In 80-90* weather I usually see 35-38psi low, 220-250psi high.

The more precise way to measure is to weigh the refrigerant bottle and to fill the correct predetermined amount as set by manufacturer into the system.
