does anyone know if swapping out the 6 speed for an auto in an 06 taco is possible? I am hoping it is not too difficult.

Might be better off just seeing if someone would trade you trucks, rather than swapping transmissions.

Doesn't sound easy or cost effective.

Easy and really cheap, common swap. ;)

The 6 speed are bad ass! It took me 6 months to get the shifting down right but once you do it rides like a snowboard on fresh powder..
