swapping a 1gen to 2gen rear end?

    has anyone here ever swapped a 2gen rear end into a 1gen. im pretty sure the 2nd gen is a bit stronger and wider. correct me if im wrong

    ive never seen a trd 5 lug taco? im talking about 5 lugs. the 6 lug taco/tundra/t100 all use the axle. just a few diffrent gear ratios/axle lenghts.

    im trying to swap a 05+ 5lug tacoma rear end into a 96-04 5 lug taco. i want to keep the same wheel pattern front and back. the 2ng gen 5 lug taco uses the same 3rd member as all the 6lugs/tundra/t100. all 5 lugs are spring under rather then spring over.
