Swapping beds - from stepside to regular

i've got a stepside bed but i want to eventually swap it to a regular sized bed

what all is required to do the swap?

bed
tailgate ? i assume the stepside tailgate is infact narrower like the bed

what about the gas tank? it looks like the filler on the stepside is further in than on a regular bed truck

is there just a different attachment to change or neck? or will the whole tank have to be changed?

anything else you can think of?

The filler neck should be a little shorter on the stepside, so it needs to be changed. The bed should come with a tailgate, if not, then you are going to need one. That should be all you need. I doubt the taillights are different but you might want to check, just in case.

 

is the filler neck a separate piece?

i would definetly get it with the bed and tailgate

i highly doubt there is any difference in the taillights...that just wouldn't make any sense for toyota to do that

I'm pretty sure the neck is separate from the tank but I'm not 100%.
