To those of you that haven't seen me before or know of my recent acquisitions, I have acquired two 2nd gen 4Runners for $600, neither of them running. One is a 91, the other is a 94. Despite being from the same generation, The grilles and headlights are different between the two- my understanding is that the 90 and 91 are the same, and the 92-95 are the same. I like the grille/headlights from the 91 better than that of the 94, and was wondering if they are interchangeable, and if they are, what sort of trimming/other work would be involved. I would think that they would swap, given that they are the same gen, but am none too sure. Has anyone done this?
Here is a front pic of the 91, (sorry the bumper blocks the view of the grille a bit)

    And the 94.

I believe they are swappable as long as you swap the whole grill and light housings

That's what I'm thinking and hoping. One thing I'm worried about is do the grilles attach in the same way, (ie: screws or snaps, and locations of the screws/snaps) and do the backs of the headlights have the same amount of prongs. I'm pretty sure the sealed beam from the 91 has 3 prongs like my Tacoma, but 94 has housings and actual little bulbs, so I'm not sure about it. :notsure:

I believe they both use the same setup but i could be wrong. The 91 has snaps that connect into the frame and i think it also screws for the bumper. The light bulbs probably dont wire the same, but thats why we got solder and heat shrink ;)
