    112000 miles
2.5"/1.0" top mount spacer leveling kit.

I recieved the complete set of suspension on a trade from a guy with a 16 ext cab offroad. Only 500 miles on the set and im probably getting close to needing to replace my worn out suspension components anyway given my mileage. The only thing missing is the top plate from the coil pack so im just going reuse the one from my set. (not looking forward to using the spring compresser). The guy said it would fit and that it would add about an inch of lift. (this was a short notice transaction and I tried to do as much research as possible, couldnt really find much, but i got it for a killer deal so not too worried). Im looking to install my current leveling kit on this setup for a total of about 3.5"/2.0" with either some light racing ucas from Amazon or some rough country ucas from rock auto.

    1. Has anyone ever swapped suspension like this? Will it fit?

    2. Just had the leaf pack tsb done. Do i need to swap in the new leafs to get that inch of lift in the rear? Or should that simply be accomplished with the rear shocks?

    3. Ive seen a little on here about the light racing ucas, but not much on the rough country ucas. Anyone had any experience with either one? Not really lookin to spend the 600-800 on camburg etc ucas.

Thanks for all of your input!

Inch of lift is only in the front from the 3rd gens due to different springs up front. Keep your TSB springs in the rear so long as they are the 3+1 leaf packs. If they are not and the 3rd gens are 3+1 swap them in.

All the stuff will swap over just fine, make sure to get the right front coil on the proper side as they are side specific.

Go with the SPC light racing UCA's quality and adjust ability is far superior.

Also get rid of the spacer / block lift....

So in other words Im going to have to figure out how to do something else in the rear to get an additional inch? Nothing i got from the 16 will help with that?

I would love to. But if i do that now then ill be losing an inch of lift which will most likely cause some nice tire rub. And I WOULD be able to spend an extra 2000 FUCKING dollars on my truck this tax season if it wasnt for my STUPID FUCKING throwout bearing issue that just wont go away. So ill be dropping 1.5k to URD for clutch flywheel and fixU hydro bearing conversion kit. And rockauto for wheel bearings and carrier bearings. So i guess only 1.5k for the tranny but still haha... Idk. Id like to get rid of it someday. But i wanna wait until i can get what i want. Which is just the 3" suspension lift from icon...

you will rub with with those tires regardless of lift if you actually flex your truck.

but yes, the rear 16 springs are essentially the same as the 3+1 leaf pack found from the TSB.

FB_IMG_1480724596268.jpg Havent done a whole lot of flexing, just minor affroad use. But because they're skinnier tires, i litterally have not rubbed one single time. It must be like a perfect storm i managed to accomplish. 17" rims with 4.49bs and +19mm offset. 255/75/17 bfg km's. been running this setup for 15k miles.

Your tires aren't much bigger than a 265/75/16 so it makes you aren't rubbing, and especially so if you have removed mudflaps.

Anyway, if you put on a 3rd gen suspension please take measurements. I was debating picking up front susp from a 16. I am looking for a very mild/relatively inexpensive yet OEM lift.

I will take some measurements for you for sure! But keep in mind i will be running a leveling kit with this setup so it will be different from just a straight swap. However i will do a before and after measurement so you can see the difference. 255/75/17=(exactly) 32x10x17 i think a 265 is only about a 31.5 so about a half inch taller. But they are, i believe, a 10.5 wide. Dont quote me on that.
