    Hello gang,
Old fart here... I have the old Camburg/Sway-A-Way 2.5's on my 04 Taco, that have seen better days. Probably 10+/- years on them with no rebuild. I got some leads on shock service from Camburg, but a few of them came back with no-can-do, parts not available, so it's looking like I'll possibly need a new set. I'm just a weekend off-roader, but do want the same or better performance. Are Sway-A-Way coilovers still a viable brand? Or should I stick with either Fox or Kings (no shock wars please :))....
    Thanks for your input!

I believe Sway Away are still around, your model just might not be in production anymore, or due to global happenings parts may not be able to be sourced presently.

If you have to get replacements ADS, Fox, King, even Bilstein 8112's all good brands you'ed be satisfied with any of them.

I'm running Fox 2.5's with the dual adjuster reservoirs and King 700# springs up front so technically both brands.

King or Fox. I doubt you will ever have to worry about parts being discontinued.

Idk, isn't a 60 week lead time sort of like being discontinued?

I just installed some last week for a TW member. He got them in 2 weeks or less. Wheelers had them in stock.

@Anthony250 rebuilt an older pair of SAWs for me about 5 years ago. As I remember, the parts I ordered for the rebuild were pretty standard and weren't exclusive to Swayway, unless we're talking more than a general rebuild here. Ordered the parts needed from shockseals.com

    edit-

on shockseals.com website there's a section for Swayaway seal kits

    https://www.shockseals.com/collections/sway-a-way-2-0-seal-kits

@TMFF could probably let you know if they're still rebuildable or not as well

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I just rebuilt mine, all parts are still out there. aFe bought the SAW brand, but they sell all the rebuild parts. I got seals and wear bands as well as spherical joints from shockseals.com and you can get the shafts and bushings and whatnot (if they're bad, they're probably fine though) from aFe

DC Shock Services said they can get parts for rebuild. Now debating if I can hang up my rig for 3+ weeks for the turn-around. Might just buy a new pair, and have the old ones rebuilt as spares... More to follow...

No shame in swapping on Bilsteins, OE shocks, or even some cheapie quick struts on for a few weeks... you might end up with some stinkbug rake, but it's not the end of the world.

If you've got a decent junkyard nearby you can probably get a set of take-off coilovers for under $150.

I kept my 5100/881s around for this reason when I got my King coilovers. Have had to remove the Kings for service twice and both times I just had to swap my old setup back in real quick.
