I have seen a lot of people doing sway bar deletes. I am just curious why? I would think that would make the truck hard to control on the road.

I didn't do it despite lots of people suggesting that I do it to my truck. To me normal driving stability (especially at higher speed) is more important than slightly more off-road flex. After all, on-road driving is where my truck spends most of it's life anyway and the ROI is pretty slim in my case of a daily driven truck IMO.

So its actually good for the truck. Do you just take the sway bar out? would you not be out of align though?

I will consider it. I never go off rad so there is no point in it really. Cause I don't need more flex

If it was good for the truck why would engineers have added it?

If you have stock suspension and/or spend most of your time driving on the road, you're probably better off leaving the sway bar in (especially if you have stock suspension). Personally, I have mine out because I have aftermarket suspension and I spend a lot of time off road and for me the trade-off in reduced handling on-road was worth the increased articulation off road.

Gotcha. I have mostly stock suspension. I have new shocks all around and a coil spacer lift. I just haven't bought new coils yet

If you have stock coils, I would leave the sway bar in. The OEM suspension is too soft and you'll get A LOT of body roll on corners.

Took mine off and at first it drove like a boat now if I'm going that fast around curves to notice its gone I shouldn't be going that fast in the first place..

And the engineers put it in for safety because they had too more than likely

agreed if you are on stock suspension, leave it in.

I have stock coils preloaded at the 1.75in lift setting on my 5100's.... took the swaybar out and will never put it back in. It rides better on road and off road.... yes there is more body roll, but its not scary.

I took mine off awhile back. Rides much beter off road and with my 700# springs up front I don't notice much increased body roll. I actually like the way it drives on the highway better now. I don't drive like a maniac though. If I had stock coils or never drove off road I'd leave it on.

Probably have the only 2nd Gen with an 8274 in the world.
My truck rides much smoother without the sway bar, 886 on front. I'll just hi the deer now instead of trying to dodge it.
