You can probably just disconnect one side. This should eliminate the load on the link(s). If the sound goes away you know its time for new ones. If you decide to disconnect both then may be some stiff wire to hold up both ends of the sway bar. And as suggested I wouldn't leave that disconnected for long. The first time you have to swerve or go onto a highway on ramp you will be shocked at the change in behavior

The OEM links for the 4wd version are over $100 each $US. Some places in Canada want $150. That's 3X the price of most of the aftermarket. I would be willing to try the aftermarket at that price. Its a relatively easy part to replace.

Anyone tried the Dorman XL line?? They call it their extended life version and is sealed and non greaseable like OEM

Truth be told I kept the original that came off the truck and I believe they could be rebooted and greased and used again. Not sure if there is a kit. Probably not but there are some very ingenuitive folks out there who could fab something up and save a buck.

I’m almost wondering if I didn’t create noise with my swaybar bushings because I may have tightened them up before I reconnected the swaybar links when I redid my front shocks

Got my OEM end links today and installed them. Paid $90 shipped on ebay. Only took 7 days to arrive from Japan.

$90 For a pair or individually? Could you share a link possibly?

For the pair on ebay. They're sold out from the seller I got them from, but there are more. I posted about this earlier in this thread and got ignored. Instead of searching part numbers, I searched for "tacoma stabilizer link 05 oem."

    Here's a set for $106 plus taxes

I apologize if I missed your post earlier. It was not intentional.

thank you for the link. I may go ahead and grab a set.

does anybody know if the swaybar bushings need to be tightened differently kind of like the lower control arms where the truck needs to be down? I’m wondering if I tighten those before I secured the in lakes and I’ve put the bushing into a bind.

And I'll be right there with you. Moog used to be known for top quality aftermarket parts. That was then. This is now. They're going to wring as much out of the name as they can as they continue to downgrade cost and quality. Sad.
