Hello. I just finished installing the 2883 springs on the front of my 2001 prerunner. The front is up about 2 and 1/2 in. The factory links are all seized up. What's the correct way to address the sway links on a lifted truck?

I caught some YouTube videos about deleting the sway bar or installing disconnects. I'll be towing occasionally and I'll have my daughter in the truck. So, I don't want to fully remove the sway bar. But, I can't find any disconnect links for the first gen. I found another thread on here about DIYing some, but the URL links are dead in that thread. Does anyone know where I can find information on making some or where they're available for sale? Or I guess like I said above just replacing them with some that are more appropriate for the lift on the truck.

I also saw the boots were torn and the grease was out of the outer tie rods. I didn't notice any significant play in them though. Are the boots serviceable? If I have to replace them as an assembly, are they an OEM only type of part, or are there good aftermarket options?

    Thank you so much!

I installed 2885 coils and needed a drop-spacer because the sway bar rubbed on the driver side coil. I installed aftermarket links and have had no issues with them. On tie rods I replaced inner and outer, It has been a while, I think I got Moog parts. Note, this is for 2nd gen. You may have no rubbing issue but you kay not find out until there is greater articulation.

Just following up on this thread. Does anybody know of any sway link disconnects for a first gen? Or, at least of disconnects aren't available how much longer do I need the links to be for a 2 and 1/2-in lift?

This might be what you’re looking for

He says the 4th& 5th gen 4Runners and FJ Cruiser links he makes will fit 2001-2004 Tacomas. And these are adjustable up to a 3” lift I think. Probably can PM him and he can tell you what you’ll need

Thank you. I found this while searching here. I should have mentioned that I did try to search. Anyway I PMed him two weeks ago and haven't heard back. It's not a big deal, but if I could just order some today I would.
