I dont see how it would come undone on both sides without you knowing. yeah, there are guys that say leave it off, it dont make any differance, but it does. You would have noticeable front end dive in a hard turn. I have an 08 access cab that I just had mine off of. I put it back on and there is a world of differance going around a street corner.

Before you holler sabotage though, how did it come off? My wife's car tore both sway bar links off. She drives like a bat out of hell on a mission to hit pot holes at full speed. Her car had 175k miles on it when this happened though. Not saying that all linkages will last that long, but still.

If one side came offby the linkage ripping loose or the bolt coming undone, it could work the other side loose fairly easily I would think. So it's a toss up.
Got anybody pissed off at you or have you just been driving like a wife or doing some wheeling?

Edit: Beat me to it. Ok, if you just lost the nut on one side, I'd say it just finally had enough and vibrated loose.

It probably loosened over time and, once loose and unchecked, backed itself out.

Not that uncommon for something to back out over time if not done right.

I put a new caliper on my wifes car before and after about 2 weeks she started complaining about a thumping when she hit the brakes. I didnt have time to mess with it so I sent her to a guy down the road and about 30 minutes later he called and said that one of the bolts had come out and the caliper was just flopping around in there........ Ooooopppps.

That's why I am going back over all the nuts and bolts I messed with doing my lift once they have a few miles to get settled in.

Have you worked on your front end recently?

After I installed my lift, mine came loose a couple weeks later.

Stealership or pull the other side out and match it at a hardware store if you can (make sure you buy a strong enough bolt if you go through a hardware store).

    you mean a nut?

If yours are like mine, the linkage has two bolts that swivel and turn and go through the sway bar and to the hole on the arm of the suspension.

If that is what you need, I may have a nut that would work that came off of something else on my truck. I can check it and see.

What exactly is missing? You keep saying "bolt" but there is no bolt there - there's a link end that's threaded and goes through the spindle. And it's held on by a nut. But unlike the "mission critical" ball joints and tie rod ends, it's not held on with a cotter pin, because you won't crash if it comes loose.

At any rate, you can get whatever's missing at the dealer. They're small parts so it ought to be reasonable.

And yeah, with you having installed new shocks a month before - I'd say that's for sure the reason that it came off.
