Let me know how that works out for you...I doubt Currie would release an anti-rock for the 3rd gen since they did not do the second gen and I don't see any benefit at all of their setup over OEM on IFS.

You are correct about disconnecting the single link, I did the same thing when I DD'ed and wheeled my third gen 4Runner.

4 years without a swaybar here without any regrets. (620lb coils)

    Do at your own risk.

So fellas, thought of this today, it'd probably take more time than I'm willing to spend on it but theoretically shouldn't this quick disconnect work? It involves cutting the oem sway bar and welding a collar onto one end, and connecting it again with a snug pin. Pull the pin, and presto! No more sway bar.

Your understanding of the mechanics is spot on, material properties.. not so much. The bolt would shear almost immediately.

On topic, I've run sway bar-less for almost a year now with 2" bilstein lift on stock coils and 32" muds. I see triple digit speeds almost every time I drive. Never had an issue. Even banking into turns at high speeds isn't nearly as bad as some say, the body roll is there but it's effects are much more psychological than physical, the truck is far from flipping over even though it may feel contrary. The benefits off road are quite significant IMO. Like some have said it depends on your driving habits at the end of the day. If you're an active driver/ enjoy driving/ like to drive fast you'll probably favor removing it. If you're an A to B type of driver and don't necessarily enjoy mashing the gas pedal every now and then you'll probably feel pretty un-easy without a sway bar.

Haha hadn't done the math yet for the material mechanics, just shower thoughts. Thanks for the feedback! :D

So I got the lift in and the sway bar removed. Noticed a difference at first. Steering was a bit more sensitive. Dropped my tire psi since discount tire aired them to 50 psi. Now there is only a slight difference than before. Haven't tested it off road yet but I will hopefully get out soon.

My truck is a daily driver on 33s, 3 inch lift, and has no sway bar.
I was a little apprehensive about it at first, before taking it off. Now I can't imagine having one. The body roll is negligible due to our suspension set up, even at 75+ freeway speeds.
Aside from a daily driver the truck is also our weekend warrior. We don't abuse the thing too much, but we certainly do use the truck as a Toyota (why else would we have one?). I've had the sway bar off for almost a year now and my alignment is still relatively true, as much as you could hope for really.

Perhaps most importantly; it has an observable benefit to our casual, and sometimes really fun, type of use for our truck.

    Do it!
