I have the ARB/OME Heavy front and rear on my 2013 TRD DCSB. I don’t do any rock crawling as the truck is built for camping/overland. Should I remove my sway bar or keep it on. What’s the pro’s n con’s to this?

I never put mine back on after putting my OME 884's and billie 5100's. I love the way it handles. Cloverleafs are fun AF.

Do you mean "worse on-road performance"?

I ran without on for a while on my truck. Ended up putting it back on as lets face it.... 99% of the time our trucks are on road, and loaded up going to the camp ground was a much safer drive.

You will have to drive both ways for a while to figure it out. Off road and on road. Stock springs or not stock springs matters. I would totally leave it on if you have stock springs or like tigers.
Mine fell off and can't seem to re-attach it:cool:.

If you plan on driving a moose test, you want a sway bar. Might flip over even with a sway bar...look at the warning on the visor. But if you understand how to not be a crackhead with the steering wheel, you should feel OK about things right up until sudden rollover death. You will be able to feel and get used to the body roll when turning on the road. Off road you will not have that rocking boat left-right-left-right seasick swaybar nonsense going on with every bump. Truck feels planted and suspension can do it's job.

I have Old Man Emu all the way around the truck with OME leafs. Seems like someone would have come up with a kit that would allow you to remove for off road and re-attach for on road.

It is 100% subjective. Take it off and go for a drive. If you don’t like it, put it back on. /thread

Better yet, do you have a reason to remove it?

It's subjective.. try it out and see if you like it or not. I like turning at spirited speeds so I keep mine on. Tacos that see similar spirited use in rugged terrain could probably benefit from it.

isn't that the point of a quick connect sway bar
are there any for the Tacoma or can be they custom made?

sway bars link the front suspension to reduce body roll, but limit it's travel. Which is fine on a flat road.
But that also probably messes up the ride on uneven surfaces, because instead of letting each suspension corner do it's job independently, it now forces them to be locked together (such as front)

Even on certain passenger cars, the ride is better over pot holes in a straight line if you remove the front bar, but then dives badly when you take a turn such as highway onramp
depending on the vehicle and how it's balanced.
For example Audi's tend to understeer due to their drivetrain being far forward. The rest of the car is probably designed with that in mind, to combat it, including suspension.
BMW and Mercedes has it farther back.
and so on. Longitudinal vs transverse. etc.
or Mazda Miata's, however they are; I hear it can be beneficial to race them on track with rear bar removed.
I've also heard of people changing suspension literally at a track if the weather changes, like changing out springs for a different spring rate.

I have seen a quick disconnect one on a Jeep before.

not sure if there are any expensive aftermarket suspensions (coilovers), or something else, that is good enough to function well without sway bars.

IDK what type of suspension trophy trucks use, but they probably have more freedom/selection on what to pick because they don't have to accommodate any drivetrain parts into it, since it's RWD

just removed mine after installing a 2" spacer lift. didnt really feel a diffrence except when going over speed bumps. one tire went over the bump and the other tire cut between. much smoother.

If you remove it you are going to die.

If you don't remove it you are going to die.

Plenty on here don't run one (myself included) but you should think about what @Crosis posted. Every mod should serve a purpose and fit with the end goal/use for the vehicle. The swaybar delete is free and reversible so it's worth a try if you think it fits with the way you use the truck.

My truck handles great for what it is but takes bumps like shit, my Porsche is better over bumps than my truck. I probably have way too much preload but have been considering removing the sway bar to see if it makes any difference

I installed the rear Hellwig sway bar on my sport. 90% of my driving now, is on road, and the sway bar makes a significant improvement in the ride and handling (but, it's still a truck).
