    My 2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Long Bed V6 TRD, *love saying that* lol. is getting its new frame repair just like everyone else.

    Toyota mechanic said that both front passenger and driver way bars need to be repaired. Is it a big difference to use OEM ones vs something at autozone/O relieys..etc?

    When you're talking about the entirety of the Tacoma community this statement is absurd. There selling just under 200k of these trucks a year.

    OP. I've been doing the maint. on all my vehicles for many years. In most cases (I've had a few issues) the auto part store brands are just fine. They never last as long as the OEM part but the lower price offsets that. Swaybar link ends are a simple part, I'd go aftermarket If it was me...but I threw my sway bar in the trash a decade ago;)

    Says my statement is wrong yet he doesnt have a sway bar himself :boink:

    I meant that most would probably just not replace

    Ctr is good, moog is fine, driveworks seems kinda cheap to me.

    OEM has lasted me 190k
    get a brand with good warranty when going aftermarket

    If we’re talking sway bar end links here, I would save myself the coin and go aftermarket. Replace as needed. It will take quite a few sets to reach their $175 a piece asking price.

    Took mine off within 30 minutes of getting it home from the dealer. All it does it limit body roll for comfort. I bought a 4x4 for a reason, and it has nothing to do with comfort in a corner.

    I just use Mevotech. Decent brand. I would stay away from Moog. After they were bought out buy some other company their quality controll has gone downhill.

    Just remove the whole thing and get used to a tiny bit of sway. It's an off-road truck, not a circuit car.

    Luckily Ive only had to make an evasive maneuver once in this truck. At speed on a narrow highway.. I was sure damn glad I had the sway bar at that point. Not turning this into an argument for/against the sway bar. Im sure theres already one or maybe two threads about that on here :D

    No argument, you are %100 correct.
    The swaybar can help (a tiny little bit) keep the truck from rolling over. But on the other hand, it somewhat binds up the suspension which has a negative effect when on a bumpy surface. It keeps the IFS from being able to do what it is designed to do.

    When you're offroad, where the only person in danger is yourself, go ahead and remove it. When you're on the highway, sharing space with other drivers, it should be installed
