ideas have swirled around forever on disconnects, and obviously endlink disconnects are not a good idea for our trucks if you like your CV boots. (ask me how i know). Ive been looking at lots of different ideas on how people do this and got this idea. if its dumb, tell me haha.

cut the swaybar in half (between the two frame mounts). take a 8" (or whatever you think is needed, im not an engineer) of steel tube, sleeve if over the area, and weld up one side (the other side will rotate inside) then drill a hole through it for a pin or a bolt.

    would that work?

In theory, but it would be very tough realigning that hole to repin it after you are done

Swaybar disconnects have been discussed on here for years. Most people that want one eventually will just pull the sway bar and leave it off.

yeah that part i have no idea haha. i guess you would have to reconnect it somewhere super flat and have a buddy shake the truck so you could pop the pin/bolt in.

right, my 2nd gen single cab had no sway bar, i threw it in the trash. I also had 620lb coils so i didnt really need it. it was pretty stiff.

Yep, looked into disconnects, no one had done it, and I'm not savvy enough to design my own. Sway bar is now sitting in a pile of parts somewhere. Don't miss it
