Hope I can buy this ATRAC and Kors bag in the same department.
Otherwise that bag is gonna have to wait.

OH MY DAY-UM!! So sorry about your truck. Whenever I've done something like that, I have always tried to make sure that the lesson I learned was worth more than what it cost me. It's all we can do. Besides laugh about it.

Doesn't look like by the pictures that your rear wheels were more than half way covered. If that is true than your rear diff fluid should be fine. Your front dif should be fine too because it's breather is located much higher up in the engine compartment. You should do the rear diff relocate mod for the future though :)

Shoulda got the TRD off road! and i would send back those weathertechs, send pictures of how they didn't protect your floors....They should refund you on the purse
On top of getting a diff breather mod you probably need a diesel stack so you can turn your truck off...
and get a bed mount for a yard stick...

Everyone always does something to far in their trucks don't let them fool you!
Keep us updated on everything although sounds like you got lucky!

Edit- Make sure after you get your lift and tires to redeem your self and take a video of you making it!

Wow dude! Doesn't sound like your drivetrain took any irreversible damage so that's good. Just dry everything out and change your diffs and engine oil for good measure. If no error codes should be fine as a fiddle. Just smell like a pond for a while. I've done this to many a 4 wheeler but don't quite have a set big enough to take my 11 year old Tacoma through something like this. Good luck and keep us posted of any developments.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned, but good call leaving her running. Upon restarting, you might otherwise have vacuumed up some water through the tail pipe.

Looks like you got lucky to me. Time for lift and tires - Your warranty is officially voided. Now you can mod with confidence!! Maybe lockers too??!!

    For that little of water?

I drowned my Touareg worse than that and it kept running to the day I rolled it. The whole electronic ignition where it cranks until it starts comes in handy when you're purging the cylinders of water

I'm thinking a good yard stick is a great idea as mentioned by someone else.

This was my first thought before I even finished reading the first post. LOL I was like, 'Please tell me he left it running...'

Kudos to the OP for not shutting her down.

at one of our meets he thought he could cross it lol
his advice. He bought a new truck about a week later ;)
his still drove fine though, just smelt like a sewer. I have always been scared I might do this. Good luck man! Pressure wash your carpets, my buddy used to detail cars and pulling out and pressure washing the carpets made the floors look brand new.

    *Update*

Front and rear Diffs oils changed.
    Trans case oil changed.
Fronts were a bit milky/cloudy. The others were fine.

Greased up 5 Zerks. All I could find were 5, hope there weren't more.

Rear diff breather mod parts ordered also.

Everything is currently torn out so today ill be visiting local truck shops and sound audio shops.
    1. To get an idea of what I can do to make the cab more water resistant.
    2. Find out what recommendations are for some sound deadening.

Oh and going to disconnect and grease up whatever connections are in the cab right now.

Later this week Ill end up taking the interior carpeting somewhere for a professional cleaning(more than likely)
Or just get lazy and take it to the local car wash and pressure spray it.
That sound deadening material takes FOREVER to dry though.

if you find many points to seal up to better waterproof the cabin please post up details and pics....I would love to make mine more "water resistant" and have searched for this many times.

I just replaced my carpet. No way in the world all that soot was going to come out of it.

I got mine stuck almost 2 years ago and never had any mechanical or electrical problems other than having to replace my starter. If it's running fine than you should not even have to consider trading it in.

Trading it in never crossed my mind. It still runs like it did before.

I feel like it's a learning/growing point. Although I wasn't ready to go down this path yet I guess there's really no better time than now.

I'm gonna work inside out anyway.

Got quoted 350 for raptor-ing the entire interior. I've done all the hard work and removed everything anyway.
They'll end up doing a couple coats.

I guess there's the possibility of applying it over the electronics/wiring but he mentioned they'd pull everything
    to first.

    What do you guys think?

And as far as drain holes go, I'm only going to leave the higher on on the rear hump for now because I need to run coax through it, I'll seal it up myself when he's done.

Other than that there just an abundance of dead space in here.

I talk for about 2 hours to a professional line-x guy and he helped me realize that's not really the way to go about this.
Line x is a pressure spray and it's just wayyyyy too much work to be done in a cab, the prep work alone is astounding.

He actually wasn't totally into the Hercule/raptor/lizard skin idea either for fear of under rot.

He made a great point about potentially sealing in moisture and dirt and over time that would become cancerous and I wouldn't even know until it was too late.

But unfortunately I'm a risk taker and for my level of application and the situation I'm currently in; I'm probably gonna do it next week when my bike gets done.

Do basically, the raptor will be tri- purpose if done correctly.

Water sealant, sound deadening and heat protection.

I still have concerns about the electronics, there just so damn much of it.

But I honestly don't have future plans of taking this baby swimming anytime soon, so why not.
Other than that this had given me the opportunity to properly mount my cb radio and inverter and run the wires nicely.

    That's about it for now.

Oh and I finally pressure washed the carpet. Still had a lot of shit come out, might still take it for a shampooing, haha.

I would have loved the option of the plastic floors or whatever utility floor toyota offered at one time. I think it would be great.
