Swing out bumper latch install problems

    Hello - I think my gate latch for my new bumper may be machined wrong and I'm hoping someone can help. Or am I missing something?

    The Latch will not pivot forward more than the below picture with the bolt inserted, and you can also see the hole for the pin doesn't line up.20180901_111218.jpg
    Here you can see the other hole doesn't line up in the closed position which means the bolt location in the first pic is correct.20180901_111243.jpg

    My second photo just shows me trying the other hole since it wont pivot forward when I use the bottom hole. Your pic looks exactly like the way I am trying to install, but I appear to have a machining defect. Thanks for taking the time to post that pic.

    Sorry OP, but hopefully it's a simple fix with some drilling.

    And I don't mean to hijack this thread, but anyone know if the locking pin used on this same setup is commercially available elsewhere? My pin is rusting pretty badly and I feel at some point it's going to snap.
