Guess I was wrong, firewood can be used it looks like.

No current restrictions on camp fires in QC for where we are headed.

Well for those that are coming from the gta. We are looking at about 5.5-6hrs of driving. Please be prepared. Keep in mind that doesn’t include stops for food/fuel/bathroom so the day is going to be a long one.

We will coordinate communications in port hope, whether it will be cb or two way. really no stress as everyone knows where the first camp is at.
I am gustimating we should be getting into camp between 3-5pm assuming all goes smoothly.

What a fun time hanging out with the guys, I only got 2 nights in but it was still a blast.

Hope they had fun today on the washout.

On the way home, we had some idiot with a QC plate, just outside Pembroke about 2 or 3 KM out. He pull onto the highway from either a driveway or side road way way up ahead of me I didnt even think about it right away as he was so far away. All of a sudden I am directly behind him, he is doing 40KM/H on the highway. So I blast a horn a sec maybe he is on his phone or something. Now we are going 30KM/H on the highway. He continues at 30KM/H into Pembroke. I let a car get between us because wtf.

At the 1st light he is turning left, there are 3 lanes. Left lane that he is in. Center lane for going straight through the light that I am in, and a Right lane for turning.

He has his signal on for left turn, in the left turn lane. As I get up to the light, all of a sudden he turns his wheels as far right as he can and comes into my lane. I skinny pedal and avoid his retard move, didnt even put the brakes on.

Got my timmies 2 blocks down, had to take a brake and settle down after tard.

1 mistake I made was I did not have my wife call 911 and report a drunk driver. I should have had her take a picture of his plate, and report him drunk.

Never had anyone try and use their vehicle as a weapon against me before.

Yea camp sites.... The 1st campsite listed on the swisha gpx file is way to small for a group. You could maybe fit 3 trucks if you packed the tight. Probably not.

    *edit* campsite linked
BUT about 1 KM maybe 2 before the marked site, there as a bridge that went over a small river with a nice flowing current, we grabbed the campsite that fit all the trucks there. It was beautiful. Swimming in the river with the current all evening before teh campfire... so nice. No bugs as far as I was concerned, didnt wear a shirt all night.

I kinda fell in love with that spot.

Spot 2 was at this location

It was very beautiful with a small water fall, but the rocks made it the WORST campsite ever, my feet hurt so bad from walking on the melon sized rocks all night. The WORST. I will never camp on a surface like that again. It was just so beautiful when we 1st arrived, and we wanted a campsite with water.....

So I did not get the camping bug out, we just had some problems, made a few mistakes.

Siwsha loop is id say lvl 3 probably lvl 4 over landing. I am at lvl 2 right now.

We are actually going back tomorrow to the 1st campsite.

Might stay 2 nights, might stay 1. Not sure, we just want to camp with a campfire and swimming more.

Glad you found a great first spot! For the second, it is funny how close it is from my parents cottage lol i am pretty sure I went to this exact spot with the atv. Was there a card in front of the trail saying Cascade de l'aigle? Then a spot to park, and water only accessible on foot? Do you have pictures?

We fineshed the trail, the whole thing can be done with a RAV4 FWD lol, did it all with P-rated 30s on a RWD and never had to go in 4wd.

It’s remote and there are beatuful places to camp that we loved (black bears loved us back lol), but its absolutely stock friendly.

Pictures and videos to come later.
I would reccomend this trail for those who want to get into long travelling as a test run.
