Got a few bangs on the rocky section where we were speeding through and ended up coming down hard on one of those rocks in the centre of the trail. That's some force to bend that.

When you guys ran the loop guessing by the photos you ran it counter clockwise. When you got to this section here did you go to the left or the right? And if you went right did you come up to a missing bridge somewhere past Lac Marlene or was it fixed?

It was missing so we had to back track. Just a small bridge for an atv was there

I feel bad for bailing so early, was dumb of me not to bring enough proper footwear. :frusty:

I still had tons of fun for the day I ran with you guys, all the dead ends with bridges out or just wrong trails. :bananadance:

We now know our weak spots in the overland setup we have, so I can tweak that stuff and get it all correct for the wife and I.

I have plans to hit up Michigan next year. Might spend a week, a few places I have seen video's on youtube that make me want to take the truck there.

    Drummond Island

    Silver Lake Sand Dunes

    Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes

    *edit*

The plan I have is to go down near you guys, and enter Michigan via Sarnia, go across to the dunes and up the other side of Michigan hitting up every place we can play in dunes and camp. The go to Drummond Island possibly on the way home via Sault St. Marie. My wife's sister lives in the Sault and we can stop in on the way home and such.

Bunch of pinstripping but that's about it. Or all I've found anyways.

Yeah some good pin stripping also. Went overboard trying to be a baja truck when we were playing in a sand pit and lost my table off my rack at highspeeds. Couple zip ties fixed it up but its still a little bent.

I was unsure about 6 months ago about exploring. I have some real problems with not knowing EXACTLY where I am going, and the route that is getting me there. Exactly when to turn and stuff, I am not sure why it is like that but that is how I am.

My wife has stepped into the navigator seat and is doing what I need in order to travel to places I dont know. She tells me just what I need to know, when I need to know it. It has become such a pleasure to travel. I am looking forward to much more of it.

Having a navigator helps for sure. Geez, I miss exits on my daily travel to work sometimes since I'm always at different locations:facepalm:

We used the coordinates from gravel travel. We took most of the one way routes. We didn’t back track to explore the other routes.

My truck is bad on gas. I felt comfortable with 80litres. I didn’t use anywhere near that much. If we were to explore every bit of the route I would bring 80 litres again. I think I used 40 litres on the trail which included the gas stops indicated along the route. Except for the one at the first zec point we went to.
